Angry pumpkin - what a ride!

I was at rss with mike in costa mesa yesterday. He graciously gave me a "ride" in the angry pumpkin (gt3rs)that he has been blogging about recently. All i can say is wow! I drove over in my 07 turbo which i have had for 3 years now (many mods) and let me tell you that there is no comparison between the two. That gt3rs is one bad animal thanks to the work done by mike and the crew there. Starting with the light weight flywheel/cluth and sequential shifter, to the cargraphic exhaust and ecu tune, this car would put my turbo to shame, i'm sure. Response is immediate and blew me away.

The overall quality of the work is impeccable and for sure they will be doing my mods as soon as i get delivery of my new gt3, first week of august.

Rss/mike, thank you and we will be doing business soon.

Sorry that this sounds like a commercial but i can't help it. My adrenalin is still pumping strong after the ride.

The ride in this gorgeous gt3rs was the most viseral experience of my life. The car is so engaging and involving. With the work done, the power is instantly there and so awsome. With only external mods (motor is stock 3.6) i cannot verbalize the intensity of the experience which was unexpected by this turbo owner.

Rss/bryan/mike just confirmed my gt3 is due in to san diego 7/21.

I hope the parts we ordered will be here by end of july (car too) so we can get started.

Glad you enjoyed the ride..

Always looking for an excuse to fire up the Angry Pumpkin to get my adrenalin fix. Glad you enjoyed the ride and could experience the Sequential Shifter and RSS "TARMAC Clutch/Flywheel Package", Cargraphic Kit 6 Exhaust System with optional Resonator Delete, Cargraphic Tuner GP Coilovers, RSS Hard Point Suspension Kit, and Custom Tuned Software on the road.

Looking forward to your build,

RSSmike

Really like the idea of the Sequential shifter but any issues on the street?

It's not really sequential, it's sequential alike as the clutch must still be used on every up-shift.
What's the point??

Cargraphic Carbon Kevlar Fenders with Air Extractors

The Cargraphic Fenders are 1 inch wider on each side creating a wider front track and allowing for the use of 9.5 to 10 inch wide wheels up front. The CG Fenders are made of ultra light weight Carbon Kevlar while the functional Air Extractors remove positive air pressure from the wheel well area. This aids in frontal down-force by reducing front end lift at higher speeds.

regarding the sequential shifter, yes you do need to use the clutch, but the point is no missed shifts, faster shifts as there is only one motion, either back for up-shifts or forward for down-shifts. i had two purposes for the test ride with rss/mike, first to see how streetable the rally clutch (saving 12lbs over the stock gt3rs clutch/flywheel combo) and second to experience the sequential shifter is use in a street application.
first, the clutch is streetable, but will require some getting used to as any change would require. second, the sequential is FAST and positive. with the clutch package, you would not believe how fast the engine responds to throttle input, it is amazing versus the stock set up due to the lighter weight.
also the sequential has the failsafe mode where if the electronics fail, it goes into manual mode without the assist of the electronics, so getting stuck is not so much of a worry.

Sure it has the Oh & Ah effect.

Bottom line: You don't need it!!!

Not to mention you'll chuck your warrantee bye bye!!!

That's the beauty of the after-market, it allows people to customize their vehicles to their own specification, to differentiate themselves from the crowd. Arguably, no one needs a GT3. I say to each their own.

Trundle, buy the time you would be getting a sequential shifter, you would be WAY past the point of worrying about warranties. I like the idea, less worry about missing a gear, right?

more videos of shifter in action please!
