A Couple pics more

Yes, the reason was a tire on the road, the driver tried to avoid it and lost control.

Classic mistake. Never take emergency evasive action for small bits of debris at 300kph, just hit the damn thing. Car held together quite well. Good work to the design team.

I am not sure that a tire qualifies as a small bit of debris.

Poor fella. Man, that must of been just a sick feeling when he swapped ends and started feeling banging at most corners. Just looking at this makes me feel bad....

Yes, that's a dilemma. What's better to meet a tire or to try to do something?
I think it was some kind of reflex action.

Very good advice! I've taught my two boys how to drive and now my 15 year old daughter, and that's one thing I always stress. Don't try to avoid stuff at highway speeds, you are safer hitting a tire or bucket or ladder than trying to avoid it.
Funny thing happened last week. I was in my 750 with a very sensitive female lunch date and I saw a pigeon walking carefree across the road. I was going about 65 MPH and expected to see it flutter away at the last minute. Well, it made a dull thump on my undercarriage, and there was a very pretty display of feathers in my rear view. The chick looked at me like I was Charles Manson! I simply repeated the maxim: Never take emergency evasive action for small bits of debris at 65mph, just hit the damn thing.

Absolutely, some body filler, touch up paint and wax to make it shine and it will be back in business

She shouldn't be mad. We have a deal with the pigeons. They get out of the way of our cars and we look the other way on the statue defication.
