The GT3 cup rotors are the same sizes as the steel brakes on the GT3. 350mm front 330mm rear.

Buy the Motorsport disks, they are the same part number but with an M after them. About a 3rd of the price of the street part and a bit more durable.

Some of the guys here freeze them to help extend the life but we have seen no real benefit, they still crack after a day on the track!

rotors

The motorsports rotors are a bit thinner, and should last as long, but who cars, they are half the price, by the way, forget treating them.

Lightbulb Cup Rotors (continued)

So the cup rotors are a good value in comparison to the stocks, but still heavy, 26lbs each. We have a new DEVEK GT3 Front rotors out now weighing at 19lbs. They feature aluminum hats (re-usable) to save weight and reduce overall ops cost. Fasterners are aircraft grade, and rotors are available both drilled or slotted. Normally we anodize the aluminum hat to silver; however, any color is possible (for a little extra dinero of course).

Anyway, it's an unsprung weight saving alternative, thought you might like to see a pic...

(Matching rears also available.)

Thumbs up Cup Rotors (continued)

Hey all,
Thanks for the warm welcomes and replies.

To answer some questions...

The rotors are by DEVEK, designed, assembled, and tested in house. In detail: the hats are CNC'd offsite and the rotor brake discs are also made offsite. The hardware is sourced from a civilian military contractor. We recognized the need early on for the PCCB replacements and saw that the cup car steel rotors were heavier than they ought to be. We may offer them for private label and perhaps organize an introductory group-buy.

Rear parking brake functionality will be retained; however it will not have the friction capacity for J-turn grip (aka e-brake skids).

The fronts are tested and ready for market, rears are almost complete, we have more testing before release. Currently they are to be available for usage with the PCCB rear caliper set-up and will be adapted to the steel caliper set-up post testing.

Front rotors with hats, assembled and anodized retail at $550 each standard with cross drill and anodized hats (black anodized). Gas slotted fully assembled with hats retail at $530 each.
Replacement brake rotor discs retail $240 drilled and $220 slotted (each).

Thanks,
Austin

So does that mean we would have to source all replacement rotors through Devek? Would the hats be compatible with rotors from AP, Alcon, or Brembo??

What are the pros/cons of drilled vs slotted?

What's the cost for different color hats?

Doug,
Just because our name is not in the banner list, does not mean payment has not been made!

Happy Holidays,

Marc,

Both myself and another GT2 owner here in the UK have replaced our front steel PCCBs with Cup Rotors and would wish to purchase rear rotors, as well as lighter front rotors.

I would probably happily buy a batch of both, once I know they work so I can distribute some to other UK and Europe based owners.

PM or email me please.

Rgds

Guy
