Has anyone got the thicker wheel in their RS?

I am wondering about including it in the spec for my new car. Any thoughts or experience?

I haven't seen it in person. However, I have yet to meet anyone who regretted upgrading to a thicker steering wheel, if that helps.

I've had both, depending on how you like it, the thicker wheel is very nice and feels great while driving.

I loved the feel of the thicker wheel in my 6-GT3 and have already speced the option for the next GT.

Yes: Order option CLA for either the RS or GT3. . However it has a note that for the GT3 the 841 option is "required," which is the 3-spoke wheel option. This 841 reference is not listed for the RS option. Damn if I know!

I'm fairly sure that it was not available at the time of our builds. I have the actual oder guide and didn't see it on there. I know it's OT, but I did order the no cost leather alternative. I would assume that is the same thickness.

I have thought of having dallas whell build a thicker one from mine. We'll see when my car gets here next week.

It is definitely available. Thicker wheel in alcantera. I have now ordered it. Also wonder about the yellow stripe, but this can be done later if I have to.

It was not out when I got my 2k10 GT3. I also got the no cost leather option. I find the wheel thickness to small and would love a thicker wheel. Also after doing a HPDE in the car with the leather option wheel i would stick with the alcatara wheel for tracking. The leather wheel is to slick for track use but great for street use.

Bottom line: what is the part number for the thicker Alcatara wheel so I can I stall it on my 2010 GT3?

I dont see it in the GT3 ordering guide either. And from what somewhat else said, it is required to have it done in leather - option 841.

Another confusing order process from Porsche! sheesh!

That's what I ordered, option 841. It's leather but not thicker.

Option CLA + 841 = Alcanteria (sp?) Thicker wheel. Cannot confirm yellow 12 marker. They are easy to add later on.
