I am sorry. You maybe from the Tire Rack but I have to definitely disagree. Do you know that the Corsa's come up to hot lapping temp faster than the MPSC.
As a DD and track tire the Corsa is superior to the MPSC. My personal experience. No magazine crap.
The Pirelli Trofeo is even better.

I know it's OT, but I'll be selling my new Corsas by late March early April; as soon as the snow and salt clears here in the NE. My .2 GT3 came in with 3 miles. If anyone is interested given that time frame PM me.

I'll be replacing them with PS2s for street duty. I won't track the car otherwise, I'd use the Corsas.

can they really be much better in the rain given their shallow tread?

Is it true that the 19" sport cups are not the same compound as the 18's? I had heard they're not quite as aggressive as the 18's.

I am running the 18" sport cups here in FL. They are fantastic at the track and if you slow down in the wet they seem to be okay (knock on wood). I wouldn't do 90 on the highway in the rain with them, but then again they're not intended for that anyway

Just out of curiosity, how would you compare R888's in wet to MPSC's? R8 is AWD, but I drive on R888's in the rain with no problems. Only problem is they are loud in general. But I don't really notice it much anymore, an never with music on.

I ask this because I wonder if you guys say they are terrible in the rain because you want to drive harder than you should.

I agree with Ranger. I have had Corsa's on m 7GT3 and CS. They warm up instantly and grip much better than PS2 in the wet. On the contrary, by the time you get the Cups to warm up the session is over.

Are you tracking your car on a quarter mile strip?

One lap around Sebring and my SC's are ready to rock! Same for Daytona for that matter.

I'm not sure if it relates to size, but there is a replacement sport cup with a slightly different tread pattern, that is said to be a different compound than the previous tire. It it recognized by a circumferential grove near the outside edge of the tread. I didn't much like the "good" SC, so I did not investigate the validity of this. You could ask the TireRack folks, but both Michelin and Porsche, historically, do not comment on this kind of thing.
