hum... then all the subie drivers on cal track must suck big time. they ALL overheat after 30 min. i have not seen a modified subie that doesn't overheat, the best one last about 60min. then they are done.

Dyno vid

Here are some dyno vids from today. Car ran 4.5 psi of boost and put down 456 uncorrected and 370 tq. The SAE corrected was 445 and 364 at 4.5 psi.
Started at 423 and after a little tune got to 445. There is more there but good for now. Next week 997 GT3 rolls in the door that should make some serious power.

With that logic it was also make no sense to get a supercharger kit on an NA 996/997. It was also not make sense to buy a regular non S 911 and modify that. You should have just bought the S from the beginning. Not trying to cause an argument but I think you see my point.

This kit looks nice and conservative at 5 lbs would give the car a good amount of juice without going overboard I think.

Talking Good stuff over at IMA

Ivan at IMA has built some pretty serious cars. Some of them have been shown in numerous Porsche mags like Excellence. His GT3tt is fast as hell. Big props to IMA Motorsport to take the plunge and build cutting edge Porsche's

I'm good man. Hearing about your 968 Turbo kit has me wanting to go out and buy one though... Someday I'll have enough income to have a P car with an IMA turbo kit on it. I shot an email to your gmail account yesterday. Take care...

lol.

Either that, or they have to stop because of corded front tires due to ridiculous amounts of understeer, usually coupled with overdriving.

Carb Certification

Windydog

We are going to put resources in making sure the system is legal and complaint in all states. We have had requests as well from Australia and it appears as the requirements are pretty strict there as well. Keep u informed of progress.

BTW
997 GT3 getting dropped off today to get a system done. It will be our first in the 997 variant so we will be prototyping the system for this app. Keep you all informed. Looking for over 500 at the tyre. We should be able to attain it.

IMA, nice work. Very innovative, however from viewing those dyno runs it seems like there is quite a bit of "turbo lag" down low in the RPM range.

turbo lag

HRTC

The turbos that are on the car are pretty big, I was not looking necessarily for bottom end as the car still retains its n/a performance. I wanted turbos that with a build i can get 800 to 1000 depending on boost.

New set up will come in at 2000 rpm and still get to 900 if we wanted to. Keep u all up to date.

Thumbs up 997 gt3

Well the 997 GT3 got dropped off. We have made a preliminary design for the intercooler size with the end tanks. It looks real nice. We should be able to accomodate a nice size for the application. Next I am going to be working on the exhaust design. Going to have a complete system pre cat for the car. Will be using 200 cel cats and a nice silencer. I will when all said and done run it through a dynamic emmissions test to see what the gas limits produce out the tail pipe. We will also be chking on DB levels as we have some ozzies interested in the kits. They apparently have it pretty rough down there with rules and regs. Will stay tuned and keep u informed. Will be posting pictures as we move along.
BTW the car dynoed at 335 at the tires.

Ivan,

Getting excited
By the way, isn't 335 rwhp very low for 07GT3? Did Porsche put some other engine in my GT3???
