I was watching it earlier, races are really short, but jam-packed. Every other scene is someone spinning out! I heard that these guys can do a complete shift in 0.1 seconds, is that true?? Either way the in car camera is amazing to watch.

Question sport

Why so many crashes and rear enders..just a bit too competitive I think.
Is that what the 'sport' has evolved to, or am I missing something?
How can a 'pro' come into a turn and think he can fit where he can not!

Frankly, I think the Cup drivers have been told to bump and rub for the sake of the show; they must show them old NASCAR tapes when they're lounging around their villas. Plus, some of the young hotshots are trying to attract attention and are clearly in a hurry. Most of the bumping is gratuitous and stupid to boot, when you consider the fragility of the radiators on these cars. That said, there are clearly some terrific drivers in the series. It was great to watch.

Its very competitive and a very short race. They take advantage of every opportunity they can in order to get ahead.

The cars and drivers are so evenly matched that, to get an advantage, one must take all kinds of risks. These guys are real hardcore, they never back down or, else, what advatage they have will be gone.

True. If you watched Wolf Henzler at Laguna in the WCGT race, you can realize that those guys over in Supercup are VERY talented drivers. The field there is not only very evenly matched, they are all really superbly skilled. There are few drivers here that could hang with them. Henzler was cruising ahead of that WC field, he didn't really have any heat on him, even with Said doing his best to give chase--and Said is one of the best in the US for certain. It'd actually be very interesting to see an international IROC-type of race with Porsche cup cars provided to teams at the event, and top sportscar drivers from around the globe competing to see who's the best of the best in totally evenly-matched spec cars. Now that, I'd travel a distance to go and see! On that note, the Race of Champions in Paris recently was interesting! Heiki K, should get his but into an F1 car now!...Or any top car for that matter!
Happy Holidays!
