Need a bar other than GMG. Options?

Need a bar other than GMG. Options?

I called GMG and order a bar a month ago. I asked that they hit my card for 50% and hold the bar until my car arrives. Well I call to get the bar shipped. They never hit my card and had no idea what I ordered.

So I straightened that out, and they told me that the bar would ship. That was 2 weeks ago. Every time I call I get put on hold why they "look for the tracking number." One time for the hell of it I sat in the phone for 20 minutes to see if they would ever come back on. Nope. I sent 2 emails. Never answered.

Of course they hit my CC on the second order. I assume that I need to order another type of bar because GMG obviously does not have it together. What are the other options?? I really want to bolt to the F/R seat belt mounts, not the strut brace.

Sorry to hear such a thing...

Did you try RSS? They offer a variety of roll bars. They are a board sponsor and dealing with Bryan has been so easy...

GMG Racing

GMG is a race team and some of their products are quality/cutting edge, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. Get it in gear GMG!

no matter how good a race team is, racing and retailing are not the same.
citi and chase are some of the biggest world banks, but have u dealt with them at retail level? a single branch local bank can do much better than either. same thing in car industry.

Definitely hit up Bryan at RSS, he's one of the most hospitable guys in the industry, and RSS makes a lot of cutting edge products in-house both for themselves and other companies..

Sorry for the delay, your bar order was placed... I do recall you wanted a optional paint process which held things up and you finally elected to go with a standard finish.

The RSR and World Challenge bars are back in stock and all back orders shipping out the week of 5,2,2010

My apologies for the delay,we were overwhelmed with the amount of orders received for the roll bars and have been playing catch up for the last few weeks.

Production is now caught up and we don't expect any further delays.


While we certainly are not perfect,we do everything we can to help our extended 6 speed family and deliver products in a timely fashion.


Again, my apologies for the delays.... I'm sure once its installed the frustration experienced with the delay will be a distant memory.

We now have plenty of RSR and the World Challenge roll bars in stock ready for shipment.

Imagine a company with cutting edge quality AND top notch service...

GMG can fix this by hiring just ONE person dedicated ONLY to the customer experience. This person can be worth their weight in gold!

(GMG, I could make myself available. I have managed a bank branch for one of the five largest banks in the world for the previous 7 years with numerous awards, but I would MUCH prefer the car industry and am infatuated with your shop/products. Customer experience and sales ARE my game)

Ive experienced more arrogance than passion from GMG.

Detailed information and clear pricing would go a long way.

Focus on the customers. Answer emails professionally and with more details than asked for.

Fabryce called me to take responsibility and apologize. Nothing on purpose or malicious on their part. Growing pains....which is the impression that i got. With 15% unemployment...it’s a good time to look for a eager race fan to help them out with sales!

i have never had this kind of dealing when working with rss and mike or bryan. however, i have also experienced this type of treatment from gmg. and not just recently, either.
