so i have a 2010 gt3 and curious about redline.

Redline on the dash indicates appx 8200 rpm...but i have read on internet/mags that its 8250, 8400, and 8500.

whats the deal?

8500 on your car. 8400 on mk1's and 8800 on 3.9's

 

8800 has got to be amazing.

the am i correct that on the 2010 gt3 on the rpm gauge it appears as redline is 8200rpm...so its all good to go past?

 

You'll hit the rev limiter before anything bad happens so give it a shot past 8200 and if you hear it bounce off the rev limiter at that point then you'll know where it stops.

 

my mistake..was counting each mark a 100rpm instead of 200. retarded. Finally found this:
