Great stuff. Surprised to see the GT3 pass the viper on the long straight. Was not expecting that. Would have thought the Viper and its hp would have carried it. GT3 is a beast through the corners. Nice to see all the traffic out there as well. Lambo got in the way a bit.

I know, I was not expecting to see the GT3 at the end of the straight...the Porsche driver was so much aggressive thru traffic.

The Viper lifted earlier. The Viper driver does not seems as comfortable/confident as the GT3 driver; pushing the car to the limit... Both drivers have great skills. The Viper was the faster car, but both cars seem to have similar gearing.

Looks like the Viper couldn't make a clean break, the GT3 stayed close enough that the Viper couldn't move over and eventually had to lift in order to slow for taffic.
edit, posted above already. Owned by not refreshing

It was the gearing... It sounds like he topped out (normal for ACR's on long straights, no?).

the viper was definitely faster on this, but the GT3 driver held up well without giving any space. It is racing after all... Great vid, i was also amazed to see the Porsche being faster on straight

Agreed. If the viper showed a little more confidence, he should have been able to pass the GT3

great video that Viper was all over the back end of the Porsche but couldn't get by. Makes me want to get a dedicated 911 race car to run!

I would not say normal... btw, that was a Viper Competition Coupe, not an ACR. The Competition coupe is 520HP, ACR is 600hp. However the competition coupe is about 400lbs lighter then an ACR. The Competiton coupe does indeed have different gearing then the ACR too.

Oops, I didn't realize... That certainly puts things into perspective.
