Opportunity for a GT3
Hard to say without knowing what you're looking for. Both are great cars and i love my GT3, but I've noticed that some GT3s turn over quick as they are too hardcore for many owners that "liked the idea of owning a GT3" but turned out to really want a turbo.
Turbo vs gt3
I recently sold a 2006 z06 and purchased a 2004 GT3. I paid in high 40's. It has ceramic brakes, painted seat backs, carbon fiber parts and white dials. The GT3 is a blast and I love the car but it is a bare bones car (loud and rough). In that way it reminds me of the z06. I've driven a 996 turbo and find the gt3 more engaging. IMO ...GT3. Good luck and have fun.
if you go to the track, yes
if you do not, no
many people get frustrated in them as a DD...
if the car checks out it is a performance bargain in the 40s
motors are bullet proof
last of the breed in that is has no driver aids and no sunroof etc...
however it will always carry the 996 "stigma" even though it is not warranted in the GT cars...
I would do it in a second... turbos suck :-)

The high 40k price was for a turbo the dealer had. The GT3 was higher but still a good price just more than I wanted to spend.
