Please help me decide a color for my roll bar
Please help me decide a color for my roll bar
Getting RSS roll bar installed. Please help me pick what color!!
OPTIONS:
1. match exterior (meteor grey) worried it will be too much of the same
2. Match wheel color (titanium)
3. Red to match stiching throughout the cabin, although im worried it might be too much and would definitely stand out from outside the car)
4. Wrapped in Alacantara w/ red stiching to match inside. ( anyone have idea what this would cost?)

I think it would look great with either exterior color or wheel color...red might be a little over the top....actually, with a dark colored car I think I would go with the wheel color unless you don't want it noticed
Probably a silly question but, my understanding is that the regular sport seats cannot be used with a harness... so what would be the point of installing the roll bar if you can't use a harness?
I was also told that bolt-on bars are more a liability than real protection so it's either welded cage or nothing because bolt-on units are untested in terms of what would actually happen in a crash and the only reason to get them is to install a harness. True?
That said, when I get my GT3 with sport buckets, I'd totally go for an RSS bar simply as an anchor for the harness and such.

no, you don't want to use a harness without proper racing seats that have eyeholes for the harness...however, these bars are solid pieces that only bolt in at main chassis points (it's not a bolt together bar) and they have been roll over tested thanks to some unfortunate drivers...they also do not get near a drivers head so they are not a danger but a good safety measure even if you are using stock seats and belts
