Exhaust note comparison betw. 2010 GT3 and 2009 C2S with Tubi
Since I never heard a GT3 I was just wondering which would have the more aggressive and more exotic exhaust note...a 2010 GT3 or a 2009 C2S with Tubi exhaust ?
The GT3 has the Metzger GT1 racing engine vs. the C2S with 3.8 DFI normal production P-Car motor. This means the GT3 revs faster and is more responsive (RS is even more with lighter flywheel). C2S is a more deeper sounding note and not as loud overall. With Tubi, sounds more like a german sedan. GT3 is throaty, raspy and once above 5K RPM, wails like a banshee. GT3, IMO, is one of the best sounding cars period. GT3 is definitely the more aggressive and exotic sounding car. You must swing by a dealer and hear one. It's a magical sound.
+1! Since the engine is completely different, the sound will be too...
My RS sounds pretty good above 4000 RPM. When you step on it, the sound of the induction is really quite amazing. But under 4, even in sport mode, it sounds whimpy. I had a full Tubi system on my previous 997 C4S. That thing sounded amazing across the entire RPM range, even at idle. But their quality and service sucked.

I had a 997.1 S with PSE (unplugged sometimes) and I thought the exhaust note was pretty good. Until I had my 997.2 GT3...
The GT3 sound is intoxicating at 4,000rpm and above, and it is not just exhaust note but the whole engine sings!
The GT3 also has no backseat and less noise deadening, so the beautiful engine/exhaust sound creates a hall effect behind our ears... That is spine-tinkling when accelerating beyond 4,000prm, and heart-stirring when backing off the throttle from 8,000rpm. Truly intoxicating.
And of course, one can even go with aftermarket exhaust modification on the GT3, if so.
