996 GT3 -PPI Results

Hello, All. I recognize a few names from the Audi Boards. I've tracked my RS4 10 times, but would like to buy a GT3 to improve my track skills (or lack there of). I had a 2004 GT3 checked out this morning at a local Porsche dealer and rec'd the following feedback:
- Suspension very loose (likely due to hard driving/tracking)
- Noise indicates that water pump might need to be replaced
- Noise from front wheel (potentially bearing)
- Fault code for computer monitor (potentially swapped memory cards, all history deleted)
- Spacers in front to accommodate larger front rotors
- Stage I overrevs (no type 2 or 3, but fault code above).

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

IMO, that's a bit overpriced. A tracked car with issues, 34k miles, and no service records should go for mid-high 40s. You should also have the paint checked to make sure there hasn't been body damage.

You can find very nice 996 GT3s with all records for mid 50's. Personally I would pass on this one at that price.

Been lurking here and on QW, myself. I just can't bring myself to engage the forums much because of two reasons. #1. Mod bug is biting the crap outta me and I'm afraid I'm going to let it ruin my bank account and 2. The track bug is biting the crap outta me and I'm afraid I'm going to let it ruin my bank account...

See ya 4 rings!

Rector, burlingame did the PPI. The car was listed on autotrader. I would prefer to omit the specifics to protect seller.

Hey, there. Let me know when you take her to the track. Perhaps I could get some seat time with you.

Just an FYI a PPI without a leak down is a waste of money.
