there are many choices here. i have the cargraphics kit 6 which deletes the side mufflers. the system is full headers, 200 cell sport cats, but leaves the factory rear resonator in place. sounds awesome and i can still have a somewhat stealth sound when needed (almost never).
another option is the fabspeed side muffler delete which connects to your factory header/cats and uses the factory rear resonator. don't remember if it still uses the flappers for some quiter time though.
the sharky system was definetly a consideration but i didn't want to be too loud all the time. that being said, it must sound great and like the others, saves alot of weight from the rear of the car.
if you would like to hear mine, pm me, i live in the far eastern reaches of l.a. county, just on your way to auto club speedway.

I've tested mufflers and cat combos on other cars, and have found that cats actually add drone from 2-4k rpm which is why I was asking. Yes the straight pipe car (no cat, w/muffler) is louder up top on full throttle, but at freeway speeds, I've found that they are actually quieter, well less drone at least.
well ill shut up and let them answer!
also, my friend has a 997c2s w/ cats but all mufflers deleted and that thing drones like a mother****er....pretty much below 3500-4k is drone...

There's a spot with the track exhaust, right around 3000 RPMs, that's tolerable at cruising speeds. It has little drone in this RPM range. At most other RPMs, especially under varying throttle loads, it's considerably louder.
Driving around town would be difficult, annoying, and risky. But driving 100 miles on a straight, flat freeway at 75 MPH is not a problem.

This should give you an idea of how loud lol...

how do you know?
who drives their GT3 at 3000 rpm?
i back up at higher rpm than that
That Shark set up sounds insane. I've heard 10GT3s set up and it too sounds sick. I actually encourage my wife to drive mine around the block just so I can stand outside and listen to it - luckily no PDK yet or she'd probably never come back.
