I bought a set of 996 GT3 Recaro factory seats from a forum member, 911GT700. It was an easy transaction and the seats were in great condition. I'm going to replace the center section with new alcantara. I've posted pics of the seats and a pic of the seat inserts I ordered. What do you think about the inserts? I ordered them in matching alcantara to my 07' 997 interior and I ordered them with GT3 embroidered in RED to match my car! I was going to paint the backs and top handles black but I think the silver looks pretty good and it matches some of the silver accents in the car. Opinions please.

Very nice and helpful indeed! I had the same set up in Kermit for a long time. They save a good bunch of weight and keep you in a lot better at the track...

I know this is an old post but does anyone have a source for grey leather or alcantera inserts for the GT3 seats? I am looking for a factory OEM quality fit and finish. If the OP is still around, where did you get yours? Thx...
