997.1 vs 997.2 hood

Can anyone confirm whether the 997.1 GT3 RS shares the same hood as the 997.2 GT3 RS?

Trying to determine whether the (.1) Gemballa hood will fit on my .2 GT3 RS

why change hood?
the front is fine.
you need to lose wt in the back.
preferably even ADD wt to the nose.

Agreed. Ditch the side mufflers (good for at least 42 lb loss)and get someones rear center section. There are a couple aftermarket choices out there. Won't name any so as to remain neutral but if squeezed I'll talk.

You could also do a wrap on the hood and the roof to get the look.

I definitely want to do a full CF hood. Waiting to see how much the GT2 hoods will be.

Might do a CF wrap on the roof as I'm not so keen on ripping the car apart just to install a new roof.

GT2RS carbon hood shouldn't be more than $20k-$25k.

Sorry to sound cynical but I just priced wing end-plates on the RS: Retail is nearly $2000 for the pair.

Not sure about that but Vivid Racing carries a SpeedART cf hood for $3155.

it's really easy.
oem roof skin is tack welded. drill it out, no damage to car.
CF skin is bonded back in place.
you can even reuse the roof liner if the guy is good with his work.
