Took deliver of 2011 GT3 from Porsche of the Main Line

I just took delivery of my special ordered 2011 GT3 from Porsche of the Main Line in Newton Square, PA. Just want to tell 6-speeders that this was THE best ordering and delivery experience I've had, and I've done this way more times han I should admit to. My decision to buy 3-hours away from my home was rewarded in every way possible. I called every dealer in VA, MD and PA looking for an allocation and deal since I have already have 'paid list price for the flavor of the day car t-shirt (several of them). Most disappointing was that my 'home' dealer where I purchased new a 2007 and then 2008 Turbo would not negotiate a penny from MSRP....I was apparently supposed to be happy that they had an allocation. So from there I began calling all the dealers in this tri-state area....answers were NO 2011 GT3 allocations to minimal discounts ranging from $500 to $3000 off MSRP. Porsche of the Main Line blew them all away...super deal, professional, polite, knowledgeable car guys who attended to every detail of my requests perfectly. As an aside, Porsche is NOT using the Port of Baltimore any more...they switched to Davisville (Rhode Island) in mid-September. Service was great....I kept track of the car's voyage and port arrival, and it was at the dealership several days later. Full front clear bra put on last night by Auto Armour of Columbia MD (Cliff BeauBeau who does magnificent work!). That's it...just wanted to tell a good news story and encourage anyone in the area to consider the buys at Porsche of the Main Line. Mike Hofer was my salesman, and Paul Nograny, sales manager, gave me the deal...great, great folks.

Yeah, seriously. That much build up and no release? Argh! It's always great to hear there are still organizations out there that work hard to keep their service on par with the price point of their products.

Of course, a pic is worth a thousand words. :>)

2011 GT3 delivery - follow up

I seem to have no luck (meaning no skill) in getting pictures posted...seems everything gets rejected for being to large and not sure how to compress. In any event, the car is Guards Red with full black leather to include swapping out as much Alcantara for leather as the option list allowed; adaptive sport seats with painted backs, full deviated (red) stitching; red console, red belts, red center dash strip, XM, NAV, etc. I've had two 997 Turbos...wanted something different, but still like the creature comforts along with the edge and different performance delivery of the GT3. If someone cares to walk me thorugh the photo thing, I'd be happy to post! P.S. left off that I also purchased a SHARKSWERK center muffler and tips...the only mod I'll do...just want a more aggressive sound and the SHARKSWERK system I was able to hear a few weeks ago at a local Cars & Coffee event sold me!

GT3 photos coming...

I want to thank Edwin for offering to post my photos..just sent them to him, but so far, only have some 'still in the wrapper' photos during delivery and an inside garage shot of the clear bra process. I'll send more of the interior and exterior this weekend.
