West Coast car check

anyone here familiar with this car?

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

I'm interested, but not on the left coast. Also, if anyone could recommend a reputable Porsche shop in that area to look over the car, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

thanks. a quick google search shows Kahler's nearby...anyone use them/have experience with them? I'd rather have an indy perform a PPI than a dealer.

I looked into this car when I was searching for my GT3. Seemed way overpriced for the mileage and condition. The dealership selling the car gave me some funny answers when I asked about it's history... something along the lines of the previous owner trading it in for a GTR, but still occasionally taking it out for drives over the pas year and a half... Also, they were justifying the price by saying that it comes with $10k worth of mods, which were actually just an extra set of OZ wheels and the factory rollbar.

I steered clear, but who knows my intuition may have been wrong.

Interesting...thanks for the info. When you say "condition", what do you mean? Is it in poor exterior shape, etc?

I didn't investigate too much, but they were asking ~$60,000 for a GT3 with 46k miles that had probably been driven pretty hard. There is nothing wrong with the car being driven like that, other than that it was likely by the fellows at a Nissan dealership since it had been sitting there so long... so who knows what the actual history of the car was. All I had to go by was what the dealership was telling me at the time, which didn't inspire much confidence. It was a shame because white was one of the colors I really wanted.

An 05 GT3 sold in NJ with 8800 miles for 63k. I just missed it, but got my 04 with just over 9k miles for 56k.
