There is a recall on the CL's. Make sure you have the most up to date CL's.

Caught that this AM, the irony LOL! Will be working with Suncoast to see if our parts were on the affected list or not. Thanks!

Based on the markings on the CL they ARE in the recall... the newer ones have a scale and 100nm written on them..

it's just like people putting different wheel on car. the point is just to make ur ride different than other dude's ride.

i personally love it. not a fan of aftermarket wheel that normally adds bling to the car. this way the car looks different than rest yet looks OEM clean. great job!

The recall is on the center lock nuts with the "500 Nm" logo only. This should only effect early models with the center lock system, most cars and spare parts released AFTER approximately November 2010 should have the newer center locking nuts without the logo.

Looks like the cars need to be torqued to a higher specs, especially cars which are being used for track events. For more information, contact your local Porsche Service Center for details. If you would like to see if there are any recalls on your car, send me a PM with your VIN number.

Looks great! I feel if you're not taking your wheels/tires on and off all the time the CL's look great and are very unique for a modern sports car. For track use and swapping out your wheels, I would stay with the 5-lug wheel. Allot quicker for tire swaps and much less expensive overall.

Betim and Joey have been very well trained over the years. Don't let the youth foul you. Both have paid their dues and moved up the ranks in the Porsche world. I'm sure we'll hear much more from BBi in future!

I was close to converting my 997.1 GT3 to centerlock, but after realizing what a pain it is, I left it alone.
That said, I think this Turbo Cab looks amazing with the conversion. I love the pseudo-factory look and the GT3 RS wheels are gorgeous on this car.

Amazing

I've already contacted Suncoast and BBI about doing this conversion to a 996TT- really really like this project. OZ wheels for me though if it can be done.

Congrats! I like the look! I have a lowered car and love it. However, you have a classy OEM look going, I would keep it at current height. The only other thing that would be cool would be a .2 rear to go with the wheels, but then again it wouldn't go with the tip.

I recognise this is an old thread but I wanted to thank the OP for his post. I had been looking into doing this for a while and this post really helped me to make the decision to move forward. I got my car back a couple of weeks ago and I think it looks amazing.

I'm planning on having it lowered in the near future.
