Rims on the track..?
I have 20inch HRE p40s on my car and a track day coming up in the next month. I was wondering if you guys thought those wheels will be ok on the track? obviously this is a very high quality wheel and the performance is amazing since i got them, i just wanted to get some opinions on bringing them to the track. Normally you go with a smaller rim, do you think ill be fine with mine?

You can obviously run them.. However the car is best with either a 19 or 18 for track use.
Wider tire selection of R Compound tires better tire technology in 19 and 18 applications.
If its on a the GT2 you have on your Avatar I would put the stock 19"s back on the car and run those.
20"s on a GT2 ...??????

ok cool. that is reassuring then :] appreciate the info!
Ok, thanks for the info. yeah thts my car in the avatar, i wasnt going to put 20s but they were the exact wheel i was looking for color and everything so i just went for them.. the quality of this wheel in 20inch is amazing and so is the performance, i know its not the norm tho to go over 19 on these cars :-/

HRE makes great wheels and you can run the 20's as a beginner on the track. However 20's on a serious performance car like your GT2 makes zero sense as they deterioate the cars performance.
I'd go back and put the stock 19" wheels on it or trade in the gansta 20" dubs for a set of 18" or 19" race style performance wheels from company's like HRE, Forgeline, GMG, BBS, OZ, Champion.....

Yo dog, good info!
The Carrera GT came with 20" wheels as standard and that car is no slouch. However, as already mentioned, the selection of 20" tires is very limited and I think that's one of the biggest downsides.
AGREED, but yeah this tire selction is really starting to suck......:-/ where could i try and sell these wheels if i wanted to?
