GT3 RS or 458? need advice

i currently own a 2011 GT3 RS and love it. It's not a daily driver. It''s a dedicated track car and has has been set up as such. I love the car (driver feedback, involvement, sound, etc).

Here's the problem. I've always loved the Ferrari 458. I found one and am thinking of making a switch. They are very different driving experiences from what i've read. I plan on using the 458 for Sunday blasts and some track days. I'm afraid the 458 won't be as involving as the gt3 rs.

any thoughts?

only 2 issues to me. 1. can you afford it? 2. can you do without clutch pedal? if you say yes to those, its a no brainer to me

I have a 2011 RS and a good friend of mine has a 458. I love my RS but that while the 458 may not a track beast but a beast in every way. If you are okay with almost double the cost then get the 458 now drive it for 2 years and then get the 991 gt3 rs. My 2 cents.

458. No choice to be made.

(Do not like the review... ~"More rewarding because there is more to worry about... shifting gears, weight being in the back"??? Sounds like the Ferrari is better engineered)

U can take a stock GT3RS to the 24h of Nürburgring and finnish in !!13th place!!.
That´s what Chris Harris/Simon/Saurma/Asch did last years.
How many rounds on the Ring in a 458 before it breaks down?!

so i have to agree with gt2urbo.
The GT3RS is a bullet proof old school track beast.
the 458 the better DD.

P.S: but remember if u buy a 458, u won`t get a press car!

Ran with one in my stage2 996tt yesterday at Infineon Raceway with CFRA. It had a competent driver during the last session and by the 4th lap he got the blue/yellow (let him by) flag. On the other hand we were destroyed my a 997Cup and the GT3s' were fantastic.

What a soundtrack going through the gears though and beautiful!!

GT3 RS is more involving. 458 is way faster anywhere and everywhere.

I'd probably hold onto the RS until the 458 corsa or scud version is available. Crossing over now is not big enough of a difference IMHO.
