I have an opportunity for a new 2004 - The Dealer says it has 129 miles and that some 2004 were test driven with that many miles --

Is this BS or reasonable?

 

I think it's on the high side of reasonable, tending toward BS.

Mine came with 50 miles on the odometer, straight off the InterCity truck. Mine had the most miles of any of which I've heard.

mike's 50 on his is the highest i've thus far heard of. most come with sub 40.

 

OK -- I just got a copy of the certification at delivery showing 125 when they took it off of the truck -- the dealer called the regional manager and was told that some are picked to test at the factory - given that the cars, as delivered at the port are not driveable (they need certain items installed, etc.) this seems credible.

Thoughts?

 

Ask for a discount, and grab it... (What does that make three cgt on this board?) )

OK - One last question - isn't there a report or something that Porsche spits out that shows if there was any warranty/mechanical/paint work done (i.e.,, at the port or dealer, etc.)

 

Mine came with 17 miles on it. Anedoctal rule is < 50 miles for new cars. > 100 sounds like high.

 

Apparently Fabryce has one now too

 

Mine had 29 miles when purchased for what it's worth.
