4.0 GT3 RS Available One Black One White
5 M3's and 2 GT3's later, I'm still picking up my cars in sweat pants and t-shirts. I have to say though, I don't have a dealer preference. I go to whoever has the lowest price.

Typical
We can come off that price, we will work with you .....that was the response, but they wanted me to offer something. I told them no thanks.....dont usually negotiate against myself. First rule of sales.

$249k ? That's nothing...
There's one on the PCA site now for $285k, and I had a PM for one at $350k !
Anyone who has been around Porsche's for more than 5 minutes knows they can find 4.0's at MSRP now, slightly under next year and well below MSRP in 2 yrs when the 991 GT3 hits...thats just how it is.
BIll

a hit is a hit.....I'm a long time buyer as well.(all types)...if you want it bad enough get it...it will hold value better then others (porsches) but will still fall...more stabalized prices come in the secondary market...even they'll fall but less of a hit
Hmm I think even the 4.0 will drop substantually over the next 2-3yrs and it will probably hit a low mark and maybe it will hold, maybe not. TBD....it is a 997 and all 997s tank, some more than others...but it 10yrs + it will probably go up more than any other 997 GT3....
Can't argue with depreciation, it is a fact for all of us who like cars. Some drop more, some less, but all will drop. The performance of 991GT3/RS will determine how fast and how much the 4.0 will drop.
10+years from now, a base boxster with all the goodies may be faster than the current GT2, who knows. Only a collector will buy 10+years cars. I know I will always buy the newest toys.
