to get some help at dealership, get in the car, start shifting the shift lever like you are at monoco GP. the noises will bring you help pronto. if they are rude, rude back. if you are embarrassed to do that, take your kids, let their hands rub all over the paint, the fingerprints will get you help. it works like a charm. i am a major headache to anyone who is not my friend

max, 2.5 YO. i chase after him, max, dont pee in the car dont pee in the car you dont have diaper on ... you would not believe how fast the sales guys come to help.

it's much funnier when you actually see me do it and look at the face of the sale guys.

when max was a baby my RS wing was his changing table when mommy isn't home. at dealer, i do the same. one time they asked what i was doing... i said what do you think i was doing, changing diapers. why dont you give me a hand, and i handed him a full diaper. he was in a hurry to dump it so didn't have time to deal with the baby on the wing. dont worry, porsche dont melt. the wing is very strong. my 40 lbs max still sits on it.

I bought my 996 over the phone and called 3 dealers telling them I'd make a decision that day, wouldn't play dealers off each other to save a few dimes, and just asked for their one-shot best price. One dealer told me they would take $1K off MSRP max - no way they would do anything better. I got a better offer elsewhere and bought. The first dealer called me back later and said they suddenly had room to move and would price match. Too late. Of course when I showed up at the place I bought the car in an old Nissan Maxima wearing an old T-shirt and jeans, I walked around the showroom for over 30 minutes and every single person there ignored me. When someone finally asked what I was doing there and I told them I was picking up the car I bought suddenly everyone was super nice. That's why I hate buying cars from most dealers.
If your friend does not mind coming to KS to get his 1M, they are being sold here for MSRP...

They are being sold for MSRP everywhere... That DOESN'T have one in stock (and won't have either).

Most of the limit of ~500 1M cars supplied to the US market for 2011 were pre-sold. The ones on dealer floors were picked up with a premium especially after it surfaced that 2011 will be the one and only production year for the 1M.
What my dealer here in Miami told me when I inquired is that they sold the one they had in the showroom for almost 8K over MSRP and I cannot order one because BMW doesn't accept any more orders. The 1M was made only in 2011, 1000 units worldwide. I assume people are trying to get them for collection.

That funny as I had a very similar experience.. I always visited the dealer in my jeans and t-shirt , drive up in my Honda Civic and when my GT2 came in, I wrote them a check for it .. they were very surprise
