997.2 3.8 GT3 RS RMS leak

Got some oil on the floor.

Took the car to P center.

This is the first leak in Hong Kong, so need to take lots of pictures then sent to Germany for approval.

Germany need HK to clean up the housing & reinstall the old seal, then test drive for 45km as Germany doesn't believe it will leak.

It leaks after the test drive. Then another round of photos.

Germany ask HK to install 997 turbo RMS instead. ??

Why not GT3RS's ??

So in this 3 weeks my baby has been open up at least 2 times

First time I hear about this problem and solution in .2.
.1 were fixed that way for cars not driven regularly.

Trollinger is infamous around these parts
In the .1 the turbo seal was used frequently to fix the problem as they did not leak.

very weird, sounds like a disease for A garage queen. But understand the weather, humidity and traffic there in HK, better go to ZhuHai for your bb. Best wishes to your 2GT3RS

Can't use it as daily drive. The front lip will touch ground in every parking lot in HK.

Just curious, do you have the front axle lift system? Or would that not help in HK? My system has saved my front lip many times.

No you aren't too cheap. I am not sure all cars were optioned with the system. I think it may not be worth the expense to add it now though. I had to replace one already even with the front end lift. Cost about $360.00 US to install. Most here in So California expect to replace at least one a year. Kind of the price of fun!
