More basic questions on my car

So I have had my 2010 gt3 since march. I've actually put 800 miles on the car and I'm not sure if I'm paranoid or what...it now has 9800 miles total

The shifting.....to me the car seems to shift abnormally. I realize this car is not made for everyday in town shifting. ....but every time I shift at 3000 rpm it is "clunky" no grinding or popping out of gear.....just seems forceful.....

Part of the problem is that I only drove one other car before buying this one so I don't have much to compare to.

I also noticed a little bit of vibration backing up...maybe the rpms were to low... But any vibration would make wonder about the clutch.

If I'm on it....it seems to be smoother....I don't know???

What do guys think?

The shifter on the GT3's is definitely very tight and precise. The shifter also tends to loosen a little over time. Yours should be a little looser by now. How is the action:
1. when warm;
2. at high RPM's?

I would suggest you find a dealer with a car in stock and try the action to compare. If you're anywhere near me in CA, you can compare against mine.

The clutch vibration you mention, is this like a chatter on low RPM reverse?

It's real tight- no slack at all which is good. Hi RPMs is good...It's better as the car warms up...i was backing up tonight on a slight incline and it wasnt a violent shake...just a quick small vibration...I'm in the southbay (PV area) we should hook up at some point. Are you/do you go to any of the local pca events?

I can check with pacific- he has an 11 gt3 with 6k miles...I would think that is comparable?

Mine chatters a little too in reverse. My shop mentioned the clutch disc might be "hot spotted". It's gotten less pronounced over time so not a huge concern to me. I picked my car up at 2200 miles, now a tick over 10K so similar situation.

I'm in the SFV. Not huge on PCA. Do POC and Speedventures events mainly but considering running my first PCA event up at Buttonwillow this weekend.

The RS has a different clutch/flywheel so not a good comparo.

I had major service at 8900 miles which is crazy....and they told me the car is perfect. They sold it new....and the previous owner has bought 4 news cars from them in the past. He actually traded this car in for the rs4.0 that they had on order for him. The car has no negative history and no stories....it's never been tracked.

Is yours a 2010? Seems like are cars are similar in mileage and all.

Yes. '10 with similar history. Barely driven until I got my grubby paws on her. 2 years and 2200 miles when I bought her less than a year ago. She's seen track now though No issue so far besides a clutch switch.

I'm like you- I plan to drive the car. I can send you my contact and we can catch up. I missed the super car Sunday you mentioned a few months ago...we will have to catch up.

I think I'm way tooooo ****...maybe I wasn't ready for this car. Wish I would have done a little more research...my bad. They would not certify it...don't get that either..but I have 22 months of factory left. Is yours certified?

If yours can't be certified, then can you buy extend warranty? Who's your SA? Sue was very helpful over at Pacific.
