Hi guys.

Where would you recommend to get clear film in socal? There are many shops here who claim they are good and they all have "life time" warranty". I want it done right once and never look back. Probably cover the whole front/full hood and the rear fender area.

Premier? Guys at GMG can do it too. Seems like most are pretty good...

I've had six autos (BMWs, Mercs, GT40), one motorcoach - no issues in the past 10 years. I highly recommend UAC.

My current '08 RS I bought second hand in '09 with a Premier applied clear over 70% of the car and within 18 months (<3,000 miles) of application it had raised edges around the front air intakes and mirror. Their response was a bit disheartening when asked about warrantee due to the fact I wasn't the original owner.

I've read here in these threads that Premier has a pretty good reputation, I don't doubt that, I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say my issues are likely in the minority but my cars will continue to go with Ultimate Auto Care.

I think Norcal Premier location has better installer and management since it is their HQ place.


Thanks for the heads up. I just dont want any fuss after the installation. Like you said, stuff like raised edges would bug the crap out of me after spending couple thousand.

 

I had GMG do the entire front of my GT3, they did a great job. GMG is one of the few places I trust to touch my car.

 

I am feeling the same. Plus I gotta do some stuff at GMG so I dont want to take the car to 2 different places and drop it off and have my wife pick me up. She wont like it unless I take her shopping after

 

Ill send you some pics of my car later tonight or tomorrow so you can see how they did. They installed an escort radar/jammer and their center exhaust at the same time. Best to get as many goodies at once as you can.

I worry about the installer cutting into the paint. Something you will never know about till the clear is peeled off.
