997 GT3 Hurley Haywood Edition

No affiliation with the seller. Looks like a really interesting car. Basically looks like it was offered through Brumos Motors originally (Whom Hurley Haywood is/was one of their drivers and is steeped in Porsche racing history). 1 of 1 built. May not be for everybody, but those of you who know about HH and Brumos' place in Porsche motorsport history, the colors/accents do make sense. I really wonder what the story of this car is and how/why it came to be. Perhaps a present to Hurley Haywood directly from Brumos Porsche? Maybe just a cash grab by sticking his name on it and add $$$ to the price tag? Maybe a present from HH/Brumos to a friend or VIP? I'm really curious! If anyone knows anything about it, it'd be interesting to hear about it. I think this is the type of car that in 25 years we'll read about in Excellence magazine

I thought this was part of a charity deal, one of that you buy 5 tickets for $200 or some such thing with only 4,000 tickets to be sold.

this was from the charity "win the porsches". They were giving out this GT3 and a Cayenne Hybrid...

i had seen both cars at the Brumos dealership when i bought my car. It actually looks better in real life than the photos...

Thanks for the replies, that makes a lot of sense! Kouzman, yeah I bet it looks really nice in person! I really like it. But I can understand how others might not like the interior accents. But then again, that's what separates it from any other ole GT3RS hahah. Those of us who enjoy Porsche racing history will enjoy the homage ques to the old Brumos RSR's, 935's, and 917's, I'm glad they still continue the same paint scheme even on today's race cars too. Unmistakeably Brumos! Which kind of surprises me why they went with a black car instead of a white one for the Charity car. But I like it!

i would change all the red exterior components to black; but wait, that defeats the purpose right?

Red wheels, red roll bar, red wing tips, everything else should be black.

I was hoping to win the contest and sell or trade for a turbo! Too many digs on the car!

I saw that car when I was in Woodland Hills over Halloween. It does look a lot better in person. I was surprised to see how little attention it had received as far as cleanliness, it was towards the back of the lot and it looked like it hadn't been washed in a couple of weeks. It ought to make someone a fun car after they put a little love into it.

Definitely not for me. Although, I would certainly take it for the ticket cost.

The horror....

This car was up for sale several months ago at a ludicrous price. Guessing it didn't sell and maybe AG picked it up. Good luck selling it.
