On my 2007 RS, I just noticed (after 6 months) that there are a pair of what appears to be speaker grilles on the side interior panels. I have noticed these on the GT3 model as well. Are these indeed speakers? Any idea what fits in the opening? I would just as soon not tear everything apart if it isn't more than decoration. Thanks in advance.

 

Depends on your spec, the panels are standard but unless specc'ed with the Bosse sound system there will be nothing underneath.

Try fading the radio to rear, no sound... no speakers!

Yes but no wiring... I think you'll need to add an amp as I'm not sure theres a rear channel out on the head unit??

There are no speakers behind the rear grills unless the car was ordered with the "Sound Package Plus" option, the rear speakers are 4". I'm not sure if the cars with the base system came wired for rear speakers or not.

There was no Bose audio option on the GT3, just the base system and the "Sound Package Plus" option.

Anyone know if I can hook up an oem radio/ nav and speakers i just bought in my radio delete ordered car?

 

no speakers in mine! but it does have the grills of a speaker cover...
