GT3 4.0 RS. Not 1 but 2

Until yesterday I had never seen a GT3 RS 4.0. These cars are not common and I have yet to see one in the flesh in Australia.

But on holiday on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia I saw two in the foyer of the nearby shopping mall. They are both in unmarked condition and I was unable to find anyone who could tell me why they were being displayed, who owned them etc. They are both right hand drive.

Sorry for the poor photos as I only had my phone with me.

Enjoy

Thanks for posting, one of my all time favorite cars. I live in Miami, so I've seen a few in the flesh and they are amazing.

gtdoggie is infamous around these parts
I'm sure lap times on the 991 GT3 that is coming will be faster with that new chassis, PDK and all, but the 4.0 RS is perfection in my eyes and I'm not sure the new car is going to have the same raw 911 feel. And that 4.0 engine is so amazingly alive. It still shocks me every time I take it out just how hard it pulls in relation to the 3.8RS I came from.

I've been to Malaysia and have inquired of 'cost' of ownership of just a car in that country. Reason, in QL, to restrict cars from going through the main city. They issue plates that allows one certain days of the week to drive through... thus I inquire of the Honda I was in..... mark up is like 100 to 200% of sticker. Too boot, they only allow x number to be imported. I can only guess the time and or $$$$$ for the lucky owner of these 4.0. One good thing of Malaysia...if your caught with drugs...sentence is Death as they do not fool around.

Visited SPA last year for the Belgium Porsche club 3 day event. There where so many 4.0rs it almost felt like it was not an limited run.
