If it's not a continuous, uninterrupted video, I will have a tough time believing it as Porsche historically had a habit of running different sections of the ring with different set-ups and stringing together the best time for those sections to publish their ring time.

If that is not the case, an impressive feat indeed.

With no AC, no carpet, no leather interior, no glove compartment, on R-comps...

What car is this again?

Yeah, color me skeptic. I heard someone (not a Porsche representative) - The 918 is capable of running a 6:57. I didn't see any actual running of it.

If it gets remotely close, that would be fantastic, but let's just be specific which car is actually running (see: Ferrari's fastest production-based car record, etc...).

Wow doubters already of a 887hp AWD, DCT hypercar. While the Viper ACR did a 7:12 and a 599XX a 6:58xx.

How much weight reduction of the Weissach edition really "suffered" with?

That's pretty damn fast.

Starts around 1:10, ends after 8:12...

Either way - fast. 6:57? Not sure where they started /stopped timing.

It almost seems extra smooth and drama-free compared to other fast laps, just crazy fast!

Love those adidas gloves too

Lieb slowed down after crossing finish line, reason for 7:02. Believe it! Time is verified at 6:57! WOW! SPORT AUTO was there to verify time. EPIC
