GT3 or wait for RS?
Also, if you're willing/able, of course get the GT3 and then trade-in to the GT3RS...
Get the GT3. It can now be used every day. While the RS will most definitely be only track use.

Oh another point I forgot:
If the new GT3RS will have again those STUPID strings to open the door instead of a proper door handle, get the standard GT3. Give me a break, how much weight is that saving? Less than if you use the restrooms before driving I can assure you.
I don't feel comfortable getting wires to open the door for ~$150k. Actually, not even for $15k.

Look, the door handle straps are a "statement" more than anything. Don't criticize that too much. I would definitely wait for th RS if you are in line to get one. Yes, weight savings is a big deal, but don't get caught up too much in the marketing stuff either. There is a lot more to like about the RS.

Haha, sorry
But honestly that's my opinion. A relative was interested in the GT3RS a few years back. We went to the dealership in Miami, he saw the string door handles, and we left.

really? the straps bother you that much? its unique to the RS... dont buy the car then.
To walk away from a car simply because of this is actually pretty sad. Rich people problems I guess.
