The New Z06 for 70k..I don't think so...
I have seen that number floated around. I went into a local dealer today. The C6 has a 5k "fair market value" added to the list price...total of 62k
The sales mgr tells me they won't get a Z06 untill next spring. I'd bet they toss a 10 to 15k "fair market value" to the car when it hits the market.

is this a suprise to you? Almost any car like this if you want one, you are gonna pay a little extra if you hadn't ordered one and want it right away.
That said, I know many people who have gotten C6's at a discount. That dealer is out of their mind. But I definately expect to see 5-15K markups on the Z06. If they don't get it till next spring, they most likely won't get a mark up for it
Still not as bad as the double the value the vipers brought in for a little while.

it's an American car. although the engine is hand built but there's no limited car as far as now. i don't see any point paying a dime more for it if u can wait for few month. it's all the hype that drives that car crazy. for what it costs it's a great car but it's not worth anything over msrp.
All the first ZR1s and NSXs sold for $100K ( and those were in 1990 dollars ) .Both were around the $60k range list .
BTW, for some of the Porsche newbies here , 1990-91 964 -era C4 Cabs were $90K range - so after 15 years they are the same price !

GM state they will only build up to 10,000 per year. Sadly, Porsche will build close to 30,000 911's per year. The Z06 is a much more limited manufacturered car and given the demand it could command a premium over MSRP.

ALL C6 Z06's are on hold in GM's production lot.
The problem is with the aluminium frame. The fittings and finish of the cars are NOT up to grade. The reason the early models are in good shape/finish (the ones you and I see at the shows) is because they were finished by hand.
It's all about the aluminium to fittings. An aluminium issue.
The assembly line has some issues. GM might have to correct each one by hand currently built and fix the assembly line.
Remember this is the first aluminium frame, the past have been metal.
Hence, no cars delivered till late DEC/05.
That's the rumor going around.

Well I think those numbers are apples and oranges... How man ZO6's vs TTs
If you want to compare the number of VETTES vs 911s then you have a point......unless I missed something and Chevy is only building ten k vettes?
