Cool CGT Track Video

Here is a video I made while driving my CGT on the track. I wish the sound was better, but you can get the idea.

EDIT 10/19/05: I was way over my bandwidth limit at my server (92GB in a month!), so I'm looking for a new hosting location.

Notes: the indicator bar across the top is lateral G force, the vertical bar on the left is longitudinal G force. There is also a GPS system, but it was not functioning correctly, and I blacked its information out. It normally shows speed and lap times.

Enjoy!

I used this camera and G-Box. There wasn't really any installation required, other than taping some components down.

AutoXcam and G-Box

The company home page is http://hoyttech.com/

On the post-production end, I use Sony Vegas, among other things.

I asked the same question over on Renntech's site, thanks for the information.

I just spent over $1,400 for a couple of camera's mounts, G-Box, etc... Maybe I shouldn't of thanked you. J.K.

Great, sounds like you are all set to have some fun. I need to call the Hoyt guys, because my G-Box GPS stuff didn't work, so it could not give lap times and speed, but the accelerometers worked.

Ray, it was actually a hair raising experience to hear that sound again. One comment .. obviously you were going nowhere near the limits, but from your hand movements and seating position it appears your are very relaxed driving the car, and this is seriously the wrong attitude with this particular car.

Enjoy it in good health.

I was taking it a little easy that day, and just enjoying the car. Actually my goal on track is to always be as relaxed and smooth as possible. I've run about 1000 miles on that track with by CGT, so I know it pretty well now (both the car and the track). I've also run that track many times in other cars.
