Installed Akrapovic exhaust on my GT3 yesterday.

First impression, the car finally sounds right at low rev and idle. No more value on and off which really annoy me. However, the akra on the GT3 doesn't scream like the kline on my old C2S at high rpm, yet it sounds good in another way. As you all know, the titanium akra will save a lot of weight. One thing I don't like about the exhaust is it does drool a lot when you are crushing at 2 to 3k rpm.

Great exhaust. I have the Sports Cup Akrapovic on my 997.1 GT3 and I also get drone between 2.000 to 3.000 rpm. I think side mufflers would have to be installed to avoid this.

 

I'm really surprised to hear about the droning. For the price, you'd think this would be as close to drone free as possible.

 

Would be better with no drone for sure. With the Sports Cup it not that much and in a range and load I don't use. Fine for me.

I would say it's at 2.300rpm and over 30% accelerator. A few hundred rpm lower or higher and it goes away.

 

Was wondering, did you get a check engine light at all or did you have an ecu tube to code it out? Hearing different stories but wanted to ask someone with real world experience. Thanks and that exhaust is beautiful.
