GT3 over sticker market just dropped, sell your car now
And the new madness of "I didn't realize it had no back seats" "financial change has come" "my new RS is coming" "family addition is coming" will start. Flippers gonna flip.
Great thing will be to really see how many get it in manual.

I'm not sure applying logic to a situation that has variables that are removed from such restrictions is appropriate in the case of these types of cars.
If you recall, the 997.1 owners kept their cars claiming that they had better "feel" over the 997.2 cars. The 997.2 cars liked the 6 speed and hydraulic steering better than the PDK and electric steering variant.
The people who see their 997 as superior "driver" cars may still hold to that mantra. This is the reason why I'm sitting back and enjoying the show.

the hype isn't based on us enthusiasts and driving feel, its based on the speculators like the stock market.
look at all the bull**** ferraris that are horrible drivers and nothing special and their values. based purely on speculative investment movement.
yeah yeah yeah, ask price and selling price are different.
mark my words all the current stuff is going to drop at the very least 20% in the next 12mo.
if you bought on speculation and flip-ability, take that offer you got 2 months ago that you thought was a semi low ball and make your money on it now.

A base 991 gt3 that's 2yrs old w 20k miles on it should be like 115-120k right now and I think we'll be there in less than a yr. it "should" be the cheapest of all gt3's except the 996 imo.
997.1 GT3 will drop down to the mid 70's again is my prediction. The 997 GT3s will no longer be special.

Having the 997.1&2 at realistic pricing will help the brand sell new cars, you'd think well, if they are cheap then people will save the money and buy that instead of new but it's going to get people that want a pcar but otherwise won't spend the big bucks for a new one now but will in a few years after they have their first one
It's in Porsche best interest for the used market to fall

However these cars are hot. The gt's always are. Does that mean they'll trade for what they should, i.e. 30% less sticker, like $105k? I wish. Like a gt4 should sell for $80k and a gt3rs should sell for $150k.
The 991.2 is probably going to be wicked expensive, don't you think? The improvements are amazing. Wouldn't you expect a $180k sticker? Not sure that will have a dramatic effect in 991.1 values as much as we'd hope. In my view, unless you want a white car - there seems to be a ton of white gt3's around.
Given that even '14s are still selling for sticker, that could be an easy call. Four year old cars shouldn't sell for sticker!

Agreed...the 991.2 GT3's will be priced to the moons...therefore keeping the 991.1 GT3 at their ridiculous price levels...ridiculous if you are waiting for the price drop and lovely if you own. Also, because of that the 997.2 GT3's will never hit $70K as someone speculated...don't get me wrong...I'd love to see that because I'd sell my car quick...but it ain't likely...but nobody really knows.

I'll take that bet. With the caveat that few cars have 20k miles. It will remain to be seen that people will really want a manual gt3 and depending on the price of the new generation.
Much crazier in respect to the gt3rs. These seem to be going really soft at the $250k price like the two listed on the board. Even the Porsche locator has about 20 2016 cars! The cars have a really limited market. Many have less than 1000 miles - collector cars, i.e. Flippers!
