GT3 RS Price Correction

Hi All,

I would love to get thoughts on the potential price correction of the GT3 RS.

Here and in the UK , and likely most of the world, second hand prices have skyrocketed since the release of the car. I expect this is because many collectors and enthusiasts believed that this was the last NA RS, which it is now clearly not. The release of the new GT3 with a manual tranny option and the 4.0 engine is also crucial kick in b&lls.

I love the RS and think that at around sticker it represents great bang for buck. What do you guys think the likelihood of the price correcting to sticker or close to it in the coming months? Will it take longer, perhaps when people start getting out of them to get into the new GT3s?

Would love to buy one at close to sticker and welcome your thoughts.

Already started to move a lot. Once $100 over now closer to $20 over. Plenty for sale at 30-40 over and sitting.

If a car can be found for list price by end of Spring, I will likely go for it.

How well do RS models hold their value after another revision comes out (991.2) or a new version 992?

Thanks for the advice!

No clue on that but in general RS versions hold value better than most non-RS cars.

Correction coming, the 991.2 gt3 is faster around the Ring!

Gt3 > (rs, r)?

The 991.2 GT3 snags two birds with one stone. With its 4.0 liter 500 BHP marvel of an engine, it matches the oomph of the GT3 RS, which had to sacrifice two hundred precious revolutions in gaining an equivalent increase in cubic centimeters, a penalty the new engine does not suffer. Thus it one-ups the RS, no mean feat in itself. And just when you thought that the few lucky ones to bag a 911 R had the last of the great manuals, the new GT3 can be optioned with one, for no extra cost! Without getting into the impact on the potential collector's value of either the RS or the R, the new GT3 straddles the unique capabilities of both. However you slice it, this is a rare move from Porsche and an even rarer gift for those in the market for the 991.2 GT3. Automotive evolution at its finest!

I've already read the new German tests, the new GT3 is faster around the Nurbergring than even the GT3 RS. Crazy that the new 991.2 GTS is faster around Hockenheim than the GT3 RS or even the GT2!

I love seeing the two Overton RS's still on the market, just losing value as the delusional owners have them sitting losing money. Who knows, maybe those owners paid $50k over and are now losing their shirts. The RS is a beast and to think that the new GT3 is just as fast would make it hard to consider the RS as a more expensive alternative.

And they won't budge on the price. GT3 is the same issue. Guy has had it for sale forever and that is as low as he will go they claim. All three will continue to follow the market down and never sell.

2 local dealers have RS' and they've been around for over a year. They disappeared for a while and now they're back at $20k higher! I don't get it...

Three digit mileage gt3rs recently sold on eBay for $195k. Prices over $200k are pretty wishful thinking. After all, it isn't as fast as the next gen gt3.

242 cars for sale (991 gt3 & gt3-rs) combined

It's a buyers market for sure.
Name your price within 10 percent of ask. The 991 turbo market is doing better.

I believe this market will settle down . Long term 3RS value will be very good . It.s not only max performance as Porsche will always improve on their next model its about uniqueness of these cars .

If I was a betting man, I would bet that your opinion is biased.
Good luck with the sale . Nice spec.
