Is it worth it to buy a crashed gt2, my father is looking at one that supposedly sustained 10,000 in damage on the rear driver side and it was fixed at the dealer. Thats all i have for details, but the price is 111k for an 03 with 5k miles. Thanks for your help.

 

personally will never touch any damaged car.

 

Thats what i was thinking, that when a car is hit especially a car as percise as a gt2 its never the same again.

 

Reselling will be a hassle.

 

I would stay away from that car- like everybody else said... it will never be the same. If it was being sold right around $100k.. then it would be a different story.

I know someone who's selling a 03 SY GT2 w/ 6,xxx w/ CF interior, and lots of goodies for 115-120k. clean car. let me know, and i will give you the contact.

Alex, Please tell your Father not to do this. At speeds especially on a rear hit, you will have some unexpeted surprises! Good Luck, if you proceed to go ahead..

Its certainly not worth 100+K......


You can get a crashed car back to 100% depending on the damage and who does the repairs- So the myth of it not being 100% is not correct.. Perhaps in the years past that was the case.

If you really want a GT2 then take the time to look for the right car, they are out there... Just be patient

The car is at Herb Chambers in Boston and it is black

 

I have had two minor accidents in performance cars. I believe on both occasions the cars were repaired properly but it made me crazy thinking about it and I sold them shortly after I got them fixed. These were 50-60K cars, for 100K+ I wouldn't get near it.
