Glad to see no one was hurt/injured and in the end that's all that matters.

I also hate when you guys just won't come out and say who it was

I beginning to think the tires that come with this car are a major contribution to many of the accidents we're seeing.

If you only drive on city streets and freeways the MPS2's deficiencies will never be apparent. The problem is available sizes; there are plenty of better tires than the MPS2s if handling is more important than comfort... Corsa-System, Bridgestone PP S02-A, MPS1...etc

I didn't see any tires that were even close to the capabilities of the tire that comes on the car in this environment:

Many people have lost respect for what can happen in a car very quickly without these driving aids. It wouldn't be much different if they stopped putting traction control in 997's and F430's suddenly.

I guess what I am getting at is blame the drivers and not the cars.
If it makes anyone feel better, I totaled a Boxster S without traction control. Point being, its all about tracion control. You can total a Boxster or anything else as easily as a CGT if your driving too fast and you dont have TC. Frankly, I think most of us probably need to be more careful on a daily basis. Just last night, TC saved my life. I had some Sake and felt like racing my friend. To this minute I don't know how I survived. I was not drunk. I was plainly driving way too fast for anybodys good. No TC and my butt would have been all over 6speed. Granted, Im not an expert driver by any means. But even professional drivers crash their cars regularly. Put the egos aside IMO.

That being said- That orange CGT up there might be the nicest car I have ever seen. I'm not sure yet. But it might be. KOBE 4 MVP!

Well, the Carrera GT actually HAS traction control. I used it at the track last weekend to excellent advantage. It works charmingly well.

What were you trying to say?

i think you mean porsche stability management (psm) and not traction control (tc).
your 997 would have psm and a cgt has tc.
mike's cgt is signal yellow.
which does look a bit like speed yellow with an orange tint
