Please write expressing your displeasure for including a sunroof in the new GT3 and the added weight in the worse possible area.

There is no longer Option 652 "Sunroof delete"

Sunroof is standard on all 997 Coupe models, due to the 997 Coupe body shell receiving crash certification with this item

 

im SUPER bummer on this.. It basically is forcing me to hold off for the Gt3RS. Maybe thats what they are shooting for though.

It looks like you have someone else on your side... the editor of Excellence magazine discusses this exact topic in his commentary of the October issue. I think his last paragraph is interesting...

"Whether Porsche AG will listen to American customers and Federalize a non-sunroof 997 coupe remains to be seen. Until then, there's only one Porsche coupe you can still buy in the U.S. without a sunroof --- the Cayman."

 

Im sure there will be some Porsche shop that will specialize in removing the sunroof for the hardcore guys....

 

This is horrible, i want a 997GT3 badly too, but my turbo doesnt evne have a sunroof

I wrote a note to Peter and Fred at PCNA thanking them for offering a sunroof on the GT 3 and GT 2.

I am fortuate enough to live in a city with great weather and couldn't see having another 911 without a sunroof.

If I wanted a true "track-only" car I wouldn't bother with a GT3 anyway...I'd get a Cup car.

no need to hold off...PCNA will be offering the sunroof w/o option for delete on the RS too. You can't escape the 997 GT3 Sunroof curse here in NA...

 

Its too late to write to PCNA. They will do nothing.
