Lip Spoiler - How Many Have You Gone Through?

Replaced my lip spoiler last week after it blew off at the exit of the esses at the Glen. Got the Cup version which I understand is a little stiffer but was told to expect this to be a fairly regular replacement even if one is careful to not hit curbs, driveways etc.

Just curious how many people have gone through during their ownership already.

Make sure to sticky tape them with the plugs.

The tape is not recommended because it may rip off the paint...

if it's OEM paint u should have no problem. even the OE lip came with tape just like side skirts. u need that to secure it with the plastic screws/plugs.

Yup, it comes with the tape and adding a little wax can help before applying the tape.
I drove mine hard for 10K miles with a cup spoiler and lowered from factory.
I never lost it one time. I did the sticky tape on the re-apply of the aftermarket cup spolier.
It also causes the gap to close between the bumper and spoiler. That's where the air gets in and forces it out in the first place (like on a track day)
I did check the plugs and put pressure on the tape every few days and although annoying I did manage to probably save it..
Some people have gone as far to use zip-ties. That seems like a good idea, but it might cause the whole bumper to come off. The lip spolier are very low and make to break off so it does not damage the bumper.

I've still got the original one after 2 years and 13k miles. It scrapes a lot (including in my driveway), but it's still there.

I lost mine twice. Now I'm just running without one, eventhough, I have a replacment on standby in my garage. I will install it before my next day at the track.

A Bigger, cheaper, overall better replacement
from Porsche's motorsport department, used on GT3 Cup Cars.

I think GMG has the best price for it.
