Interesting GT-1 Video

Hey Guys

I posted this video in one of the other threads as a response to something but I figured it was worthy of its own thread. I'm sure many of you have already seen this.

Is the reason this happened because the GT-1 drafted too closely to the car in front and lost downforce?

I would say the part that hurt the most is when he went straight into the wall. I love Road Atlanta.

I dont know about "lost downforce" more like gained uplift from the front vehicles air path.

Yeah your'e probably right. I just thought that drafting and cutting the air resistance would lose the air that would otherwise come into the front of his car and keep that part down.

Does anyone have a definitive answer to why this happened? I'm really curious and I cant find a real answer anywhere.

watching the GT1 move the wall like that makes me think IF that was a nasCRAP car, the driver wouldn't have been so lucky.

on another note (besides the crash), that car sounds AMAZING! I cant help but keep watching it and hearing it over and over again! looks f*ing amazing too!
