Carrera GT Oil Leak

Hello, I'm interested if anyone has information regarding oil leaking from the rear engine seal on Carrera GT's?

I know of at least on Carrera GT that came in for a rear main seal (that I can remember right now.) Nothing major so long as the clutch pack remains dry. It seems to be associated with very low mile cars that sit for a year and do maybe a couple of hundred miles.

Warranty work of course.

And higher mileage cars probably come in for a clutch replacement and you'd expect the tech to replace the RMS as preventative maintenance "while you're in there" so that would skew the statistics on cars that get driven.

warranteed means pulling the engine...talking to Porshe NA about it now just seeing if there is a trend. I read that Tim Allen's GT had an oil leak also.

Hey markivan...the banning "thing" is just a joke
but you know..we need pics!

Anyway here you will get several different opinions so go have the car checked out in your local Porsche dealer where you bought the car...so you won't have any doubts!

I understand your concern. Pulling the engine by the dealer (The tech must be CGT certified) is not an issue. The cars, including 911's were designed for easy motor drops w/o drama
