997 GT3 performance #'s?

Has there been any tests yet to measure the new Gt3's perfomance? Such as nurnburg ring, 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, top speed etc. I love the look of the car but am wondering how it performs. Sorry if this has been covered before but I dont spend alot of time here on the GT forum.

Porsche claims its 0-100 in 8.7 seconds which is VERY FAST, that's on par with the 996 GT2!!

But as for car magazines, i have not seen a road test yet :/

and Porsches claims are VERY CONSERVATIVE!!! so more likely the car will do 0-60mph in 3.9sec (4.3 by Porsche), 0-100mph in 8.5sec or less (8.7 by Porsche), and maybe a 0-124mph in 11sec... those are my 'Butt acceleration and dyno'

Alan yes the Porsche quote are usually very conservative, but i have a feeling they took the best time they got and quoted it for the GT3, no way in hell its doing under an 8.7 sec 0-100 run and most drivers prob wont extract the 8.7, there was a recent video and it was in upper 9 second range, who knows but i HIGHLY doubt it!

GT3 is a marvelous performer, i still LOVE it to death, but realistically you have to agree

you know martin... i sorta raced with my friend's 996TT stage II 'hammer' from a roll of 20-30 mph and surprisingly the GT3 was dead even from that speed to around 120mph... and i shift extremely slow... since the GT3's gearing is long i was able to benefit from less shifting... but after each shift done by the 996TT its massive torque would catch up the gap it lost during shifting... so a 8.7sec should be very possible since a Stage II hammer 996TT is about the same speed as a 2004 GT2 MK II...

Wow. Are those times correct? I didn't realize it was that fast. Sorry for being naive, but that 0-100 time is almost too quick to believe. Wow, again.

Hmm interesting, very impressive then for the 997 GT3, also note that a stg 2 hammer car has ran an 11.6 at 126 mph, again highly unlikely the 997 GT3 is THAT fast, but who in the hell knows, Scotts Stg 2 hammer was a FREAK also, especially with him behind the wheel!

you are right Martin the GT3 will no way hit 11.6 in the quarter... but remember the AWD advantage during launch at a drag strip... the GT3 i believe is capable of 12.0 quarter... so if there was no launching involved like my roll on race with my friend the GT3 is very likely to hold its own through out the 6 gears...
