production total on carrera gt?
Subscribeya it may be a stupid question, but i dont know the answer and i want to know. i KNEW someone on here would know. all i am aware of that its seems to be over 1,000 units. thx...and also if anyone knows how many are left too....from all those inexperienced novice drivers hot roddin' em around and destroying em'

It was orginally 500 then it went to 1250 and that was the last I heard. I thought it went down from 1250 but hopefully someone will chime in to provide accurate info
I heard it was around 1,270 and the last one was a Yellow if not mistaken destinated to a Customer in the United Arab Emarites.
there is NO accurate number that porsche has released.
they only released the number they had sold to dealers at the end of production, which was 1270.
this figure would not include any units pag and pcna have in their possesion.
which is more than a couple!

Don't worry...those cars don't have serial #s and don't count towards final production. All the cars at Leipzig (and I assume for that matter PAG/PCNA also) have 0000 as their serial #s. Originally Posted by icon

well that's neat to know but neither pag or pcna have released a figure referred to as total production.Originally Posted by A430v

only the total sold to dealers at the time of release.
at the end of production one periodical suggested that the total figure ended up being close to 1500.
i don't believe that, but w/o confirmation from pag or pcna we don't have a total production figure on the carrera gt!
edit: actually the press release stated "more than 1270 have been sold"

The PCNA cars with Georgia plates on them that I saw/drove at an event at Barber Motorsports Park in March of 2005 had numbers like 0015 0016 0017 on the consoles.Originally Posted by A430v

Those are from PCNA so they should be dead on.

The number I heard was also 1280....however there have been 200+cars totaled (Porsche source)...so there are an estimated 1000cars left

holy crap! ova 200 totalled, thats ridicolous. im so ticked at those novice drivers in highend cars right now. UGH
