2008 Z06 SS vs GT3

true, the older ones have because they were great cars. The newer ones no. My boss took a hit selling their 03 vette. Granted they did buy the new Z06 and they do have an XLR also. My dads best friend was a vette-aholic. He owned a 40th anniversary edition along with like 4 other vettes... and he took massive hits on all of them.. just my experience hope.

#1 You get raped on mods when you sell, yes a car is not an investment but you will take a much bigger hit on the car when you mod it vs a high hp car that is stock.
#2 Warranty, not many 650 hp cars with warranties running around.
As mentioned before this is not a comparison for a GT3, but better for a 997 GT2 which also isnt out yet, but still will have problems with this car. BENCH RACERS UNITE!!!!!!!

I understand that a lot of vette owners have a lot of money into their cars. Its an expensive hobby. I also know it that it will have good track ability as well. hell it should for that money and the fact that they have won too many ALMS races to count.
With that being said though... if it still has the same interior and rubbish componets I would still take the GT3 anyday of the week. Its a Chevy (and a SC'ed one at that)... it damn well better come with a warranty or you will spend a lot of quinn to just keep it running!
again guys...this is just my opinion and experiance with vettes. Some have better experiances, I havent. I dont mean to offend anyone either.

. In all honesty I would take the SS over the GT3 if only for the performance and if it looks like that picture posted above. I didnt like the 06/07 Z06's very much at all but I like this one.
Pro for Z06 SS:
650 HP + $10,000 for pulley, exhaust, tune = 800 HP - cheap and easy HP
Con for Z06 SS:
very difficult to go from 3200 or so pounds to 2800 with the addition of supercharger, intercooler, etc. Almost impossible for the $100,000 projected price. So we'll be lucky to have a 3100 pound SS.
Pro for GT3/RS:
Actualy HP is higher then 415
Build quality
Reliability
Con for GT3/RS
Not enough HP
Not enough HP
Not enough HP
Still a toss up for me between these two great cars.
Tie-breaker: 3.8L RSR engine for the streets and strip out interior and more carbon bits to give us a car that is below 3000 pounds again. Is Porsche listening???
