2008 GT3 415HP

For me, I will take the GT3.

However, 650HP is very hot.

I think it would be faster than the GT3 and even the GT2?

What do you think and which one do you like more?

 

assuming one could fit some bars to it...honestly, I would probably try out the vette...but as far as a car to live with...there really isnt a better car then the Gt3!

 

Pcar all the way... the price of the Zed is going to be crazy. Ive heard talk of 100,000+. I would never spend that much money on a domestic car unless it was the Ford GT... That on the other hand is a different story.

And around the track I still think the GT3 could beat the Zed because of its weight and balance. Just my opinion though.

I would buy the GT3 just because it is more my taste, however, the Z06 SS will beat up on the GT3 performance wise in every aspect. However, for someone who tracks as much as I do, I would be slightly worried about the reliability of the SCed Z06 after a ton of track abuse. GT3 for me any day of the week.

 

I think another good thing about Porsche is still using the 3.6 motor is reliability!

Plus, the GT3 will hold the value way better than the SS.

 

As of now I like the GT3 RS better and the ZO6. But if the new SS version looks and performs similar to the C6R, I may like the vette better. If it looks like the standrad boring c6 vettes it is GT3 all the way.

Why are we comparing a car that is not out to a car that is already here. Why not compare it to the 997GT2?

I think the only similarity between the GT3 and SS are the price points (give or take $20k), aside from that, the SS will be running circles around the GT3...mho of course

 

asthetics aside i would take the corvette SS..the performance difference is just too great between the two now...

but once i factor in the the z06 looks like fetid *** when parked next to the GT3...it becomes a slightly closer race.

for a track/funcar i would get the z06 hands down

 

This car (corvette ss) should beat everything! CGT,Ford GT, 08' Viper, GT2, GTR,R8,M-whatever. It's speculated to be 650 hp @ 2800 lbs which is why the price will be 100k. If it makes those specs it will be unstopable for a stock street car.

Now if it can stay together while traveling at these incredible amounts of speed is a completely different story. There is only supposed to be like 3k made in a 2 year run or something like that. The pictures that people are coming up with have been hideous, but this car may be a beast.

Still, for the track, give me the GT3 for two reasons. #1 The GT3 can stay in one piece during fierce driving, #2 It's NA, the SS will be supercharged which I do not prefer on the road course, turbos are much more efficient.

 

I like the Z06 alot, but even with my past and current car purchases and choices, another 100+ hp and torque will not change my mind or make me want one more. They should make Moton's standard on that car, it will probably be one of the most thrilling driving experiences !

But give me the 997 GT3!

 

i don't care much about the HP but the deployable hardtop is hot. i bet it'll come off easier with 650hp.

 

I just hope they do something to the body to make it different from the rest of the Vettes. If they don't, I'll just get that pulley+headers and tune on the F-GT and try to keep up.
