997 gt3 Navigation

Does anyone know if you can install the factory navigation into the 997 gt3 if it came from the factory without.

Thanks.

You can do anything but it would cost a fortune, get a Garmin.

$5,000

Yes you can, it's no different than installing it on any other 997 that came without. A friend of mine was quoted $5,000 by the dealer.

Don't regular 997's come with the LCD screen whether or not you get Nav. or do they need all the dash work too?

regular 997 series cars come with the full screen and the nav can be added later as it is just a plug and play module, the gt3 and gt3 RS come standard with the non nav screen radio's.

That's what I thought so if it costs $5000 to add Nav. to a regular 997 it's going to cost allot more to add it to a GT3.

My dealer told me that the nav in the GT3 RS knows not only the US streets, but almost all road courses in the US as well. The voice gives you the braking points and the turn in and track out points as well. That's why I got it.

I wish!

At the R8 drive 2 weeks ago, the instructor on the track was giving live voice guidance through brake zones while he was driving. One hand on the radio, the other on the wheel.
