What do you do during "the wait"

What do you do to take your mind off the waiting? When days seem like weeks, and months seem like years. Anyone think it's a tad overboard to start piling up the aftermarket accessories even before the car arrives?

I think I might need a shrink.

You are doing the right thing by buying parts now. Don't stop because then you may resort to drugs, alcohol, and hookers.

Can't wait to see pics when it arrives.

Keep shopping like a woman at a closeout shoe sale. I bought / thought I had it all weeks before my car arrived but "Nope" been back 2 times since the initial trip to Sharky and now going back tomorrrow for three days and then back in mid-May for some more....

Just keep piling up as many mods as you can over the duration to help ease the wait___Shrink wont help you.

The wait

Picking out accessaries during the waiting period is part of the process. It's considered the "norm." If you were out shopping for purses then there might be a problem. The secret is that you have to start small and light. For example, clear corner lenses (they don't add any weight to the car and they don't cost much). Next, you move on to seats (they cost a lot - but again, they don't add any weight). At the seat stage, you have to figure out how to hide that purchase from your wife (otherwise she'll think that you are crazy). Last purchase - wheels and tires (again, keep them lighter than those that you are replacing). Good luck with the weight!

I'm not sure what additional accessories you could get for a GT3, but sounds like a great plan! ...nothing wrong with that, and definately better than spending your money on drugs, alcohol or hookers! LOL

Two more weeks to go!!!

I ran out of things to read, watch, listen to about the GT3 a long time ago. Don't want to start buying anything until I get the beast.

Nothing to do but to day dream, clean the garage, prepare the detailing tools, plan the first few drives, re-map all my preferred routes to avoid speed bumps, etc...

Two more weeks to go!!!!

I placed a bid on a white X50 1 more day left on the auction!
So, I guess if it pans out, that would be the first porsche I'd ever own and not the GT3?

X50 is a good distraction. Glad that my one year wait is over. Celestial help might have been needed if it was delayed for more.
